Dr. Kristie Alleyne is the National Technical Coordinator (NTC) for the REBYC-III CLME+Project in Barbados. She is an experienced Ocean Professional and Environmental Management Specialist.

She has over seven years’ experience in fisheries research, sargassum management and governance, coral reef ecology, and applied transdisciplinary research. In addition to research, Dr. Alleyne is experienced in conducting stakeholder engagement initiatives, social impact assessments and project coordination and management. She holds a PhD. in Maritime Affairs, an interdisciplinary MSc. in Natural Resource and Environmental Management, a BSc. in Biology and Ecology, and a Google Career Certificate in Project Management.

To date, Dr. Alleyne has conducted extensive field work, secondary research and project coordination activities for various fisheries projects that focused on understanding the contribution of small-scale fisheries to food security, gender in fisheries, fisheries and sargassum inundations, and bycatch reduction. She has a genuine passion for developing sustainability initiatives and strives to use her skillset to design and execute tailored solutions towards project success.
