Ms. Laura Ashley-Henderson was appointed as a national Consultant for Trinidad and Tobago
for the REBYC III CLME+ Project in June 2024. With over five years’ experience, Ms. Henderson holds a BSc. in Biology with specialisations in Marine Biology and Ecology and Environmental Biology from The University of The West Indies, St. Augustine Campus.
She joined the public sector as a Fisheries Research Assistant at the Fisheries Division of the
Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries in 2019 and progressed to a Fisheries Researcher in 2021. Her responsibilities in the Fisheries Division focused on Artisanal fishing with the Artisanal Catch and Effort Data Collection Programme.
In her free time, Ms. Henderson enjoys water activities. She is an experienced swimmer with
PADI open water certification and has served on the TT Women’s National Water Polo Team.
